Hello and Sawubona from Swaziland!!
It has been just over 1 week since I arrived in Manzini and travelled here to Mbabane. I think I just got used to the time change today, the jet lag was more difficult to conquer than I thought it would be. After about 28 hours of travel, on 3 separate planes, it was nice to finally be on solid ground.
This is a quick update that will preface my longer post that will come later on this week, but it has been an exciting whirlwind so far. I have met so many new people (and so many with names I can’t pronounce), and have done so many activities that have made this first week amazing. The city, weather, and overall environment here is absolutely breathtaking, just take a look at these photos from my walk to work:
As for now, I’m off for my first day of work for week 2! I will share a more lengthy post about the office, workplace tasks, cultural activities, and much more that has already been a part of this exciting journey, later on in the week.
I say goodbye and sala kahle to all my family, friends, professors, and whoever else may be reading this. You’ll hear from me soon!
