Today is my first day on the job. I walk into the small and cozy office nervous about what I will be challenged with. I am fully aware of the main problems that face sport within SVG and it is now my turn to take the wheel of the last intern. I am now responsible for the growth and development of sport within SVG therefore I have specific tasks that Mr. Joseph requires from me.
He hopes I can analyze the zones of SVG in terms of their facilities, human resources, athletes and programs etc. in order to construct a template of sustainable community based multi-sport clubs throughout the island. Who knows, there may be 50 possible clubs that could be feasible or there could be just a hand full.
Although this task seems challenging I am willing to embrace it with hard work and determination. I can already feel a passion run through me to help this developing country with their sport system. I believe I have the ability to make a difference and can not wait to start marking my place and building my reputation within this organization.
